Originally released 12/24/2014 by limited hand-to-hand and email exchange within the Chinstrap collective. Project features a number of audio collage compositions / modifications (i.e. "expansions" and "diversions") by Jason Schooling focused on a particular luxury vehicle maker & their advertisements to great effect. Popular song references, commercial aesthetics for their intrinsic value, and audio-sensory stimulation is presented to reveal songs as spirited sculptures. A fleeting product of Schooling's truly one-of-a-kind perspective, this is a small glimpse into the much larger world of his complex branching works of art. We are delighted to currently be assembling some of the documented larger works referenced below.

Notes from the artist: "Clarity with Luxury (supernatural product expansions & diversions) is a collection of things and ideas I developed in 2014 while working on the large scale piece 'Dream Jumper'. ('Dream Jumper was built by me as a character named Shwe Song for the God Tickler Plus Music Company, for Chinstrap Productions in 2015). Several are elaborate expansions and meditations on the supernatural characteristic of luxury as represented through Lexus car commercials. The others, the diversions, I arranged from parts or entire songs I isolated, stretched, expanded, accelerated and listened to from different directions.-Some were developed to have in your auditory periphery, like Marcel Duchamp's Bicycle wheel readymade to be spun and enjoyed in the corner of your eye. Others were built for more deviant but practical purposes."

Clarity with Luxury Reissue for 2020 features a never-before-heard track and has been fully remastered by J. Pickerill.
